Duties:
As the Volunteer Run Director your time will be spent managing and empowering your committee to rally support and participants, as well as driving logistical elements of the CIBC Run for the Cure. While collaborating with organization’s staff, you will be tasked with creating a community engagement plan and engaging the entire committee in understanding and achieving the revenue goal for the event. Along with your committee you will develop and execute a site plan, organize a 1km and 5km route, and recruit a team of volunteers to support all local Run activities. You will have the constant support of the organization’s staff who will answer your questions, provide guidance and assistance when necessary, and connect you with other Run Leaders.

You are a person who is at ease counting money and checking forms for accuracy. You thrive in a fast paced environment, and are happy to train and delegate to a team of volunteers.

You will be responsible for overseeing the set-up, tear down and clean-up of the Run route and for creating and maintaining a logistics file of contacts and timelines that will be shared with the Run Directors.

On Run Day, you will manage volunteer sign-in, t-shirt distribution, volunteer schedules, and verification of hours. Post event, you will work with the organization’s staff to ensure volunteers are thanked in a timely manner.
