Duties: As the Volunteer Run Director your time will be spent managing and empowering your committee to rally support and participants, as well as driving logistical elements of the CIBC Run for the Cure. While collaborating with organization’s staff, you will be tasked with creating a community engagement plan and engaging the entire committee in understanding and achieving the revenue goal for the event. Along with your committee you will develop and execute a site plan, organize a 1km and 5km route, and recruit a team of volunteers to support all local Run activities. You will have the constant support of the organization’s staff who will answer your questions, provide guidance and assistance when necessary, and connect you with other Run Leaders.

Skills Expected: The ideal Volunteer Run Director has/is: •Demonstrated success in a leadership role with team building experience •A master planner, delegator and provides clear direction and support •A passion for the breast cancer cause and event planning •Experience in volunteerism, personal or professional fundraising, sales, and/or communications, and event execution •Strong project management skills with ability to anticipate problems and develop appropriate solution •Looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity •Excellent computer skills •Flexibility during business hours to respond to emails and phone calls as needed
