Duties: This position is on the CIBC Run for the Cure Organizing Committee. Dates and times listed here are placeholders and do not reflect the specific hours or dates required for the position. This position begins in June 2017 and carries through October 2017. Please review the detailed description below prior to applying. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age for this position. As the Local Sponsorship Lead, you will recruit build local connections, new sponsors, and strengthen relationships with existing sponsors to offset some event expenses and contribute to the CIBC Run for the Cure revenue. Working with your committee, you are responsible for acquiring local cash, and in-kind sponsorships, ensure that sponsor obligations are fulfilled and each sponsor feels the true value of a partnership with the CIBC Run for the Cure.

Skills Expected: Time Commitment: •Monthly committee meetings from May to July and biweekly in August and September •Weekly tasks averaging 2-5 hours per week depending on the scope of tasks and time of year •Attendance and leadership role at pre Run events/opportunities, •In person availability from September 29th to October 1st, 2017 The ideal Local Sponsorship Lead is/has: •The ability to network and negotiate •Willing to leverage and expand community connections •A passion for sales •The ability to work independently and as a member of a team
