Duties: NOLHA is seeking a volunteer to take on the Vice Chairperson role within our organization. This position provides support to the Board of Directors and works closely with the Chair. This person will interact as appropriate with staff, community members, volunteers and donors in a positive and effective manner. This position represents the Chair at all times, both internally and externally, requiring a high degree of professionalism and sound judgement. This includes the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, and the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with great discretion.

Skills Expected: Must be Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizenship . Strong Collaborative Leadership, communication and Accountability skills . Must be extremely organized, flexible and possess professional written and verbal communication skills. . Have strong decision-making abilities, attention to detail and a high degree of productivity and accuracy. . Must be self-reliant, highly motivated, resourceful, proactive, and efficient while maintaining an approachable and professional presence to both internal and external contacts. . Use email, text as a manner of correspondence with other directors . Ensure all regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met on time. . Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external stakeholders, sponsors and community. . Knowledge and experience of fundraising finance practice relevant to voluntary and community organizations will be a distinct advantage but not essential. . Proficient writing and speaking skills in English language. Spanish and /or Portuguese skills will be an asset, but not essential
