Duties:

Big Brothers Big Sisters Sault Ste. Marie is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that is managed and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who support our office staff in delivering the programs which meet the mission and values of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. Board members are expected to attend Board and Committee meetings; as well as play an active roll in securing the financial resources necessary for BBBSSSM to achieve it's mission.

Skills Expected:
|
Communication skills, some computer knowledge, know the organization's mandate, service policies and programs. Help the board carry out its fiduciary responsibilities.

Orientation:
|
Policy and Procedure Manual is available. Past copies of minutes, financial reports are given.
|

Training:
|
On-going training provided at board meetings by President and other board members.
|
|
