Duties:
|
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated individual with a passion for giving back to the community in a meaningful way. As a Volunteer Coordinator for Cycling Without Age, you will play a vital role in our second season, helping to connect volunteers with individuals in need of our cycling services. Support from CWA Committee members and Board Members.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer riders.
• Scheduling demo days
o Ensure pilots are booked for demo days
o Ensure pilots can bring the bike to and from the location
o Create routes for pilots
o Send all instructions to pilots' days prior to demo day, to avoid confusion day of
• Collaborating with Care Facilities and Initiatives in the Area
o LTC Facilities
o Retirement Homes
o Alzheimer's Society
o Autism Foundation
o Bay Active Living Centre
• Coordinate Pilot Training Refresher
o Send out poll
• Coordinate New Pilot Training Sessions
o Reach out to old pilots to see if they would like to help train new pilots
o Update Lead Volunteer Coordinator (Monique) of New Pilots needed to complete the interview process
• Reach out to pilots/volunteers for organized community fundraising events and outreach initiatives to raise awareness about Cycling Without Age.
• Provide exceptional customer service to participants and their families, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with pilots to manage schedules and logistics for demo days or fundraising events.
• Document and share stories of participants and volunteers to highlight the impact of our program.
• Work closely / collaborate with the Administrative/Fundraiser Volunteer

Skills Expected:
|
• Must have access to a personal computer and reliable internet connection.
• Advanced proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• Strong passion for community service and making a positive impact.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail.
• Previous experience in volunteer coordination or community engagement is a plus.
