Duties:
|
Attend all board and committee meetings and functions;
Be informed about the organizations mandate, service policies and programs'
Be prepared for meeting by reviewing agenda and material;
Help board carry out its fiduciary responsibilities such as reviewing the organizations annual financial statements.

Skills Expected:
|
Able to accept mandatory role for all board members: Governance and management of the organization. This includes ensuring the financial health of the organization and providing directions to the Executive Director.
Bilingualism in French would be an asset.

Policies and procedural manual given once accepted.

Meeting with Ex. Dir. upon successful completion of interview with Nominations Committee of BOD.

Ongoing training provided at board meetings by Chair and other board members.
