Duties:
|
While we adjust to life with Covid-19, Big Brothers Big Sisters Sault Ste. Marie is going virtual. Volunteers would assist staff in planning, organizing and facilitating virtual programming using Zoom. Zoom account is provided by BBBSSSM.

Skills Expected:
|
Knowledge and experience with computers, good communication skills, creative and fun, good role model, and interest in working with and supporting youth.
|
|
|
Orientation:
|
Candidates will receive full Big Brothers Big Sisters Sault Ste. Marie orientation and information. Programs and services provided, eligibility, history and community involvement.
|
|
|
Training:
|
Candidates will be trained according to Big Brothers Big Sisters National Standards. Training includes Strong from the Start, safety training, Zoom training and mentorship training.
|

Volunteers have the opportunity to invest in the youth within our community, assist and hopefully help improve the lives of youth, gain experience and knowledge of social services and service delivery models. Skill development while helping a young person develop too!
