Duties: The President is the Chair of the Chapter Executive Committee. The Chapter President provides overall direction and leadership to the chapter in all its activities and represents the chapter within the community and serves as a trustee within the governing structure of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The chapter President will seek/assist in finding new opportunities for growth and chapter development. This individual is also responsible for communicating wit regional/national staff in developing the Chapter to it's fullest potential while in their position. Reports to chapter board; works directly with the Regional & National staff as well as the Chapter Development Coordinator (if your Chapter has the capacity for this)

Skills Expected: Possess of basic understanding of what cystic fibrosis is and the mission of the organization; knowledge of Cystic Fibrosis Canada policies and materials including Code of Conduct and Privacy Guidelines; Behave ethically: Understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization; Build relationships: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally an externally, to achieve and goals of the organization; Creativity/innovation: Develop new and unique ways to improve operations of the organization and to create new opportunities; Organize: Develop a standing agenda for monthly chapter meetings and monitor progress towards chapter financial goals.

Training: The Regional Executive Director will provide an orientation reviewing the structure and expectations of the organization.
